SUSPLACE Training Session 2
The second SUSPLACE Training Session will take place in Wageningen, NL from October 17 – 26, 2016. The training consist of two course: 1) Academic Writing Skills and 2) Facilitation of Place-based Development.

2017

The XXVIIth European Society for Rural Sociology Congress
The XXVIIth ESRS conference will be held in Krakow, Poland, July 24-27, 2017. The theme for the conference is ‘Uneven processes of rural change: on diversity, knowledge and justice’.

Transformations 2017
From Aug 30 – Sept 1, 2017 theTransformations conference, organized by the Centre for Environmental Change and Human Resilience (CECHR) will be held in Dundee, Scotland, UK.
Transformations 2017 is the third in a biennial series of international interdisciplinary conferences that focuses on transformations towards sustainability: addressing contemporary challenges and creating conditions for enhancing people’s wellbeing, today and in the future, while strengthening the Earth’s support system. The aim of Transformations 2017 is to develop a better understanding of the practices that facilitate social and environmental transformations at local and at large scales in both developed and developing country contexts.

North Atlantic Forum Conference 2017
The 11th North Atlantic Forum conference will be held in Bø in Telemark, Norway from September 13-16, 2017. The theme of the conference is Traditions and transformations in the sustainability of rural communities: Balancing Living Culture and Nature. The conference is aimed at promoting sustainability in rural communities that are struggling under the forces of globalization.

Initial key dates:
Workshops, posters and papers for the conference can be proposed till January 15, 2017.
